Live Long and Prosper...

Today the world mourns.
The world lost a great man today.
Rest in Peace Leonard Nimoy.

For those who are interested, here's some things I found....

Leonard Nimoy's last tweet from last Sunday.
https://twitter.com/TheRealNimoy/status/569762773204217857

Spock's death and funeral from Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan.

Leonard Nimoy's The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins.

Leonard's Nimoy's Hollywood star with a single rose placed on it.
Note: this is customary in Hospice, when a patient passes, a rose is placed on the door to the room they inhabited.

And last and probably least interesting....me, sadly giving the Vulcan Salute.
(It's very hard to take a selfie while doing this, btw.)

Live Long and Prosper, friends.

These are the preview screenshots Blizzard uploaded a while back.

WoW Insider Logging Off?

Yesterday, marks the end of an era.
One of the most popular World of Warcraft sites is going down, the staff having been fired/laid off, or whatever you want to call it, by AOL.
Good bye WoW Insider, you will be missed.
/salute
/farewell

I started following WoW Insider in it's beginnings, not long after the original World of Warcraft was released.  I used to follow Scattered Shots religiously, even emailing Frostheim a few times and getting a response!  That made my year. :-)
Scattered Shots and the other class columns were crucial for players who wanted to be their best.
WoW Insider will be sorely missed, but here's hoping that they get more than enough support that they need to carry on with the next project, Blizzard Watch. :-)
